Autumn Equinox 12 sequential images, with words, taken from sunrise to dusk. Two of the edging stones of lock 39E on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal in Marsden, West Yorkshire. The two stones are linked by a rusted iron tie-rod, and the waters of the canal flow, eventually, via the rivers Calder and then the Aire, into the distant Humber Estuary and a patient North Sea. 29.7cm x 34cm September 22nd 2020 (This work is also available as six 'paired' images; and will eventually also form one of the pieces in a book of twelve different works). |
